185. Marcie J. Keithley: "Finding Meaning is the Fuel of Our Minds"

Marcie J. Keithley is a returning guest.

Marcie is an author, speaker, master storyteller and CoFounder of the National Association of Adoptees and Parents (NAAP) She retired as Vice President of Retail Bank Management and Merrill Lynch after serving the financial industry for over 32 years.

A first/birth mom in reunion since 2008, she co founded Indiana Adoptee Network and testified moultiiple times throughout the years in support of OBC access for the sister organization, H.E.A.R. Hoosier For Equal Access to Records, where she served as Vice President. She also hosts the twice monthly Friday night virtual event Adoption Happy Hour with a global audience from across the adoption constellation.

Keithley is the author of The Shoebox Effect, Transforming Pain Into Fortitude and Purpose and co author of the childrens book, Frankie and Friends Talk Adoption

She is a native Hooiser and resides on the sunnyside of Louisville along the banks of the Ohio River in Indiana Owned by one sassy goldendoodle, Murfee, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and is an avid cloud watcher, lover of Cali Reggae and always in search of the perfect Margarita.
